History: Established in 1971 under their original name of Friends of Park Hospital The Friends of Trafford General Hospital(Park).
About: Since they have been established the 'friends' have raised over £580,000 for good causes associated with the hospital. These include specialist equipment for departments in the hospital, furnishings to improve patient surroundings and even Christmas parties for young children who are in hospital over Christmas.
The 'Friends' are always looking for volunteers to help with running the shop at the hospital as well as other facilities which they staff throughout the year.
